Jay-Z & Beyonce arriving at 2004 VMA's

Promoting Unfinished Business (before R.Kelly saw ghosts, before 'Fade 2 Black' came out). That was a #1 album too! "Do Remember!" He was on TRL two weeks in a row, this is the first week. They play little 'TRL' games in both of them. I happen to like when they play games with Jay, you find out just a little more about him. :)
Second week appearance on TRL: Promoting 'Fade 2 Black' (after R. Kelly saw ghosts; the week the movie was coming out).

They talked about sports, what types of books he liked to read, retiring, etc. Jay's knows his sh*t, funny dude too. I think one of the reasons it was good because Jay and JD are cool so it's like a normal conversation btwn the two just with cameras in the room. Good ish!
NOTE: The quality's not that good. I either watched it too many times or I recorded it over something else. It's worth the download though, one of my favorites :)

Props to $ony @ BadBoyForever.
Mr. Biggs kinda put them on blast. It was funny, however. I wonder what they had to say about it.

Miracles do happen! Okay, so it's not that serious. lol I was browsing another site and ran across putfile.com. I found out I can upload the LITTLE (no more than 25 mb) clips as streaming links on the site. That'll help with the long download problem unless you have a slow connection and it still takes a long time to buffer, but trust me it shouldn't be hours. Another good thing is you can watch them first and decide if you want to download any of them that are posted below. The only thing is I can't upload files that play on RealPlayer and I have a lot of those. :( Guess I gotta find something to convert those with.

P.S. I'm posting this link under the animation (on the right).
How many more vids can you take about the 40/40 Club??! 2!!!!!!!!!!! Woo-hoo!
lol I'm too tired right now...Enjoy!
(You can sign up for free exclusives and catologs @ Carol's Daughter. ^^After watching, check out what Jay "keeps it smooth with" lol)
This is "... a special TRL Time Capsule moment starring Jay-Z" from 1999. In December '99, Jay-Z shut down the Virgin Mega Store--literally. Let's go back." CLICK HERE TO WATCH IT.
This is the BEST I COULD DO! I think it came out AIGHT with the connection I have. Hopefully everyone's satisfied. If not...
I don't care.

The Award Winning '99 Problems' Video
0 comments Published by Charli on Sunday, November 6, 2005 at 4:10 PMOrginal Treatment: jay-z - 99 problems
shot entirely in 35mm, black-and-white, the video will not look like any other rap video currently on the air.
per jay-z, it will be a more artistic cinematic exploration, filmed in and around brooklyn’s marcy projects.
the piece will have a tough, natural, documentary look – human, raw, visually poetic.
the spine of the video will be jay’s performance of the song, filmed in several highly visual locations (tbd).
only jay's 1994 encounter with a cop will be dramatized. (the lyrics will not be performed here as “dialog”. the scene will be depicted in a purely visual way.)
with the possible exception of a few high-profile cameos (e.g. rick rubin) the video will make exclusive use of real people from the area.
it will avoid the cliches of “life in the projects." instead it will zero-in on rarely emphasized details of neighborhood life, showing both positive and negative aspects -- always with an artistic eye, never judgmentally.
that said, since the track has a such a hard, old skool feel, the attitude and tone of the piece will definitely emphasize many of the tougher realities.
the final effect should have an unforgettable emotional impact. think of it as “reality-tv” with soul.

Jay-Z 1st Annual BET Awards Performance [2001]
2 comments Published by Charli on Friday, November 4, 2005 at 11:05 PMFlashback funny moment: I remember AJ had on these pants (which I can not find a picture of ), they were some SPARKLY (he might have had little jewels on them), Hammer-style pants omg lol...I remember AJ later talking about how Jay & Dame teased him about those pants lol. Hilarious!
This video was filmed the day after he shot the 'Crazy In Love' video with Beyonce, if you've ever seen the making of that video, you remember the director or Beyonce saying "they had to hurry the scene because Jay had to catch a flight back to NY cause he's filming his own video in the morning"...This was the video...It was the first single released on off the Bad Boys II Soundtrack...I personally love this song, Beat=sick, Lines=sick Flow= crazy. They had tons of cameos in the vid. too including Zab Judah, Diddy, & Twista, and more. Oh it's a girl in this video that looks just like Beyonce did in CIL, she had on a white tank top and some shorts, light-skinned, blonde hair! What a coincidence!
Jay on filming: "We're having a good time," Jay said about the shoot. "I want people to understand that it's much bigger than the song. We're setting a precedent right now. Two young black entrepreneurs coming together and doing their thing." Full Article : HERE

First off, while rewinding and fast-forwarding the show to get to Jay's performance I noticed just how much things have changed in four yrs., Ja Rule had a career (he performed "Always on Time" w/Ashanti, who was the new chick on the block, she did a little bit of 'Foolish') Tweet was new on the scene too with the masturbation song, I mean "Oops"...Puff had a hit song "Pass the Courvoisier", Everybody sing it now...Ohhhhh, Busta we leave them girls rolling and it look like they a$$es is swollen" lol. Remember That? Faith evans performed "I Love You"--Beautiful--I'm so glad J.LO passed that song up-- Usher had it bad with Chilli (U got it bad) I was feeling that song too, and I also noticed A LOT of people showed up to the Soul Train Awards back then...Arsenio Hall, Faith Evans, Shemar Moore, and Yolonda Adams hosted...Alicia Keys, I believe, won Female Entertainer of the Year and Jay won for Best HipHop/R&B Album for The Blueprint :)
Anyway here's Jay's performance...Check out the girls walking down the stairs, they hardly know how lol...He switched it up in the middle too w/Beans and Freeway. Quality is Aight... I hate that USB thing sometimes!! :( This is the 2002 Soul Train Awards not 2001 as the file says. Enjoy!
I got some stuff coming, possibly Jay's "Girls Girls Girls" performance @ the 2001 or 2002 Soul Train Awards, Making of 99 Problems...that's if it comes out good enough :) I'm somewhat free this weekend, so I'll try and get that up by next week...NOT PROMISING...PLUS I added a flooble box (whatever). It's located below my profile. Feel free to drop a comment, request, etc. NO BS Either!

"R Kelly has been booted from the Best of Both Worlds Tour lineup. Criminal charges, harsh words and pepper spray have been flying back and forth since Friday night's incident at Madison Square Garden. That night, R Kelly walked off stage after reportedly seeing what he thought was a gun or threatening gesture in the crowd. Upon returning to the stage after a long pause R Kelly and some members of his entourage were pepper sprayed... allegedly by a member of Jay Z's crew.
Immediately after the concert Jay Z came to the HOT 97 studios FIRST with Angie Martinez and gave us the exclusive, official interview..." Hot 97
