He wouldn't say who they were produced by or give any details on them because they might end up not being on the album. He mentioned that out of the three joints there's one that's UNDENIABLE. He was on his way to a meeting with Mayor Bloomberg @ City Hall FYI: The sample for the new joint is from "Dumb Girl" from Run DMC's "Raising Hell" album. ...The format of the show was similar to what Jay and I talked about last year in Vegas (I told him to do a ramped up okayplayer tour style review with him, Rell, Ush, T.I., Kanye and Mary---and just make it one big ass mixtape on tour). I guess this is baby steps towards that direction.
Night one (which the first night is never the best night of a new tour) was not bad at all---for starters there were multiple dress rehearsals done at the University of Miami. How this massive ass production managed to sneak on campus under the radar without one hottie gone wild knowing is beyond me.
We did 2 weeks of rehearsals---one week in LA then in true Jay style he gets rid of his band... with under a week to go.... and its up to all the kings horses and kings men to put humpty back together again. So the call was made to use the og "American Gangster" band who Puff uses when he is touring and former illadelphonic Omar Edwards as the musical director. Really all they needed was some coaching being as though the average young black musician is part of the gospel chop generation.... Imma miss not touring with those cats. I'll periodically show up from city to city and give more updates. A good time was had by all.

This is the “Dress Rehearsal” for JAY-Z's first arena tour since his successful JAY-Z and Friends Tour in 2004 and the first to feature material from his 2006 Kingdom Come album and 2007's critically acclaimed American Gangster album.

Heart of the City Tour

Jay-Z and Mary J. Blige will tour this spring in what will be one of the most potent urban music bills in recent memory. The "Heart of the City" outing begins March 22 in Miami. And while a full itinerary is still coming together, the artists are confirmed to hit markets such as New Orleans, Houston, Las Vegas, Boston, Philadelphia and Los Angeles. Tickets go on sale Feb. 15. Blige and Jay-Z have been close collaborators since 1996, when she appeared on his early hit "Can't Knock the Hustle."

Jay was great. He is a big fan of the show. I will be in the next video, but I can't say what happens. I'll get in trouble. Source
He's also going to be in the I Will Not Lose Spring Rocawear Campaign. Can't wait to see what it is though.
